Job title: Legal Counsel & Compliance (report to CEO)

Key Accountabilities

14. Be a member of Leadership Team (상무) for legal and compliance
14. Be responsible for providing legal support for all legal matters of the company’s business sectors in Korea.
14. Monitoring and auditing changes of laws and regulations in all applicable fields and training the relevant colleagues on new legal developments as well as on internal policies and on the handling of contracts and other legal matters in general.
14. Review and follow up company contracts (price/payment term by finance / all others by Legal counsel). The experienced review for drafting and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial agreements is a key area. Another area of responsibility is the legal review of communication materials, in particular in the Healthcare sector.
14. Conduct internal audits to make sure the company processes and practices are in line with internal policy and laws.
14. Monitoring tower of compliance

• Code of conduct
• Distribution Partner Law
• Pharmaceutical Act, Healthcare compliance
• Anti-trust, Fair trade law
• Private Information Protection Act.

14. Advise the management, all relevant business units as well as group functions such as Finance, SCM, GA and HR in a wide variety of areas of activities.
14. Manage legal debate in the court
14. Interface with external legal advisors (window person)
14. Company risk assessment
14. Manage 1 legal staff who mainly focuses on contracts review and support to Legal Counsel

• Master law degree from a Korean law school or abroad
• Qualified to practice law in Korea as a lawyer (한국, 미국 변호사)  

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with combination of law firm and company.
• Experience providing legal advice to the chemicals and/or life science and/or healthcare industries is preferred
• Broad legal background
